Short Walk on a Bad Air Quality Day

The original is slightly brighter, but not by much.

This coast is on fire. From the border of Mexico to the border of Canada.

I took a short walk before 9:30 to go to a medical appointment this week. It was good to take a walk on my own, listen to music, let my thoughts and feelings ascend together, feel inspired. I miss this.

But I know that this period of time, like any period of time, is not eternal. Time exists, we decide and plan and somehow succeed in “working with it.” But that’s a small piece of us functioning in a much larger, living entity which is too big for us to even name, never mind understand and harness. Things function outside our time orbits, in their own time orbits.

All of us in circles, intersecting as we turn, banging up against each other sometimes.
