I lived to ease the path of those who worried
those who felt alone
those who needed help
those who needed cheer
those who needed humor
those who needed to believe in beauty
in hope
and that they merited love.
If I am remembered and valued for this,
then all the decisions I made
to steer clear of worldly success
will have been worth it.
