IV. Semper Fidelis


One evening, when she went to fetch water from the well, the birds stopped chirping. It had begun to rain. As she looked up, she saw the face of a man in the forest. She saw him, she was sure that she saw him, but the manner in which she saw him was not real. In the rain, she backed away out of sight, frightened.
